what is the asuw ambassadors program?
Every year, approximately thirty Ambassadors are selected through an application process at the beginning of fall quarter. Only first-year, second-year, and transfer third-year undergraduates are eligible to apply. The weekly ASUW Ambassadors meetings are designed to connect Ambassadors to ASUW, to the university, and to each other through presentations, events, and bonding activities. The program varies from Program Coordinator to Program Coordinator, but one thing has always remained the same: our commitment to helping Ambassadors get involved and make the most out of their time here at the university.
EligibilityOnly first-year, second-year, or transfer third-year undergraduates at UW Seattle can apply

Coming into college, I wanted to be more than just a number in the sea of people. I wanted to make an impact on campus, and ASUW Ambassadors helped start me on the right track. Through this program, I learned so much about the millions of ways I could get involved on campus. ASUW Ambassadors started me on a path that led me to meet some of my closest friends and it helped further instill a drive in me to make a difference in the brief time I get to spend of this beautiful campus. To me, ASUW Ambassadors was like an amazing trailer to a really good movie. It was informational enough that it gave me all the basics I needed to know about the association. It was so fleeting that it had me yearning to experience everything first hand. And it was incredibly memorable that nearly a year after the program, my closest friends and I are still looking back at the experiences we had as ASUW Ambassadors. The best part, of course, was that the movie – actually getting involved in ASUW – did not disappoint. |
